Programs and Services Overview

Residential Addiction Treatment Program Components:

One of the key components of our residential addiction treatment program is the integration of the medicine wheel teachings, which emphasize the importance of balancing the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of our being. We believe that addiction disrupts these dimensions, and thus, we have designed a holistic approach to recovery. Our program incorporates traditional First Nations, Metis, and Inuit spirituality along with 12-step programs (AA, NA, GA), informative lectures, and group therapy sessions to assist clients in restoring life balance.

Mental

Our clients learn about the root causes of their addiction and are equipped with essential tools for clean and sober living. This includes skills in communication, problem-solving, and healthy assertiveness.

Emotional

Many of our clients have experienced trauma, leading to feelings of anger, shame, and low self-esteem. Through various techniques and activities, our clients gain awareness of their destructive behaviors and learn skills to begin a healing process and develop new self-awareness.

Physical

We provide opportunities for recreational and social activities, such as swimming, bowling, and sober dances. Our facility also offers access to an exercise room, basketball field, and kitchen to support a balanced diet and exercise regimen.

Spiritual

Our clients have the chance to reconnect with their culture, spirituality, and themselves through various traditional ceremonies guided by an on-site cultural advisor. These activities are conducted with deep respect for their traditions and values.
